Spent the evening fixing the time values in GPX tracking, specifically idle times which were completely off! Now it seems to work.

I tried using it as a daily editor a few times but I hate the fact that some of the default Vim key settings are mapped to something else. Also, re-learning new keys is a bit of a pain, and I don’t want to manually remap the whole thing.
